Competition - Win a craft kit with LoveCrafts

Tuesday, 14 April 2020

I'm so excited to bring you this competition in collaboration with LoveCrafts. I've wanted to put an essential craft kit post together ever since my Christmas Craft Workshop and I'm delighted that this competition has given the nudge I needed to write it and even better, be able to give it away. If you haven't discovered LoveCrafts they are a one stop shop for free knitting patterns, free crochet patterns and cross stitch and embroidery kits, I'm so happy to be collaborating with them.

If you have followed me for a while then you know I love lot(t)s and lots of different crafts from gift wrapping to baking, flower growing to making jewellery it doesn't matter what I'm making there are always a few essentials I keep close by.  I've detailed them all below and included a few tutorials to get you inspired.

Pyramid Ruler - I've had my own pattern square for 21 years!! These pyramid rulers can be used for everything from pattern cutting to card making. This is my number one piece of kit!

Interfacing - This might be a funny one but I always have interfacing handy, it can be used to make embellishment patches from pretty ribbon and fabric as well original intention.

Embroidery Scissors - These tiny sharp scissors are so handy, not just for embroidery but for jewellery making and any kind of fiddly craft,  I use mine all the time.

Embroidery Hoop - I've included a small one of these as they are so useful for adding details to t-shirts and focusing on small areas of embellishments.

Paintbox yarns - This five pack of simply chunky yarns is made up of a great selection of neutral colours, perfect for complimenting so many craft projects.

Tilda Solid Colour Fabric - Where would I be without a fabric stash, I use fabric as much as I can for anything from wall hangings to laying the table. Get yourself a few basic colours and you'll be able to create for days.

Along with some great items from LoveCrafts I've also included a few favourites from my personal stash

E6000 glue - this is the main glue I use, especially handy for using with jewels.

White cotton and vintage floral fabric - I always keep a neutral fabric and one-of-kind vintage fabric in my stash that can always be mixed together to create something gorgeous or even used as a simple photography back drop.

I would also add its worth getting yourself a great pair of fabric scissors and a glue gun (I would have added but didn't feel comfortable sending out large scissors!)

To enter the competition head over to my Instagram page - LottsandLots . Follow myself and LoveCrafts and tag a friend in the comments section. One entry per name tagged, You must be over 16 to enter. The winner will be picked on Sunday 19th April 17:00 (BST). This competition is not endorsed by Instagram.

Good Luck! xx
