Competition Time - Craft Candy

Friday, 15 March 2013

I'm really excited to be hosting a competition today with the folks over at Craft Candy. If you haven't heard of Craft Candy, they're a website and now app detailing crafty events happening locally to you. What I love about the crafting community is just how lovely and supportive everyone is, it can be a little lonely crafting at home so I seriously recommend having a look and finding a class to suit you. You can download the iPhone/iPad version here and Android version here. It gets quite addictive, naturally I wanted to sign up to everything!

There are two sets of prizes to be won. Craft Candy have kindly given me two cross-stitch your own iPhone cases and as I was feeling all warm and fuzzy I have also included a tiny chain friendship bracelet (tutorial coming soon), a selection of some of my favourite vintage beads, charms, tassels and some spring coloured embroidery thread for you to fashion into whatever you wish. To be in with a chance of winning all you need to do is comment below, telling me what your favourite crafty or creative past time is.

I will be choosing the winners on Thursday 21st March around 8pm GMT and will post worldwide.

Good luck and have a fantastic weekend xx

At the moment it is picture collaging as i have lots of bare white walls to fill, so i am doing some photo collages for some beautiful frames i made.

Lovely! Will definitely have to check out the app. My favourite crafty pastime right now is crochet.... but it changes frequently. Cross-stitch may be next.... ;) ~Stephanie

You know I am a useless overachiever, but photography is my favourite necessity, in crafty terms partial to cross stitch and crochet or something quick.

I love all sorts of creativity,it`s a great way to express yourself and forget about work etc! I have recently rediscovered embroidery and am enjoying using my sewing machine to create lovely things for my home and gifts for others :)

This app sounds amazing - downloading it as we speak. My favourite crafty activity is knitting, although it's been a while since I completed a project. I really need to get back on it asap! xx

Great idea for an app! Will download it asap. Aside from sewing, my favourite craft activity would have to be crochet, especially in very, very bright colours. So portable and so versatile.

I will surely check out this app. Embroidery is not my forte but I would love to give it a try for once at least. Let's see how it goes.
